HID Global Crescendo Series Smart Cards

Published: December 4, 2012

HID Global of Irvine, Calif., releases the Crescendo C1150 smart card suite of credentials that provide a standards-based solution across a broad range of converged logical and physical access applications.

The C1150 can be used for two-factor authentication for PC login and for accessing virtual private networks (VPNs), creating public/private key infrastructure (PKI)-based digital signatures, generating one-time passwords (OTPs), and enhancing data protection for data-at-rest as well as for secure data transmission.

The smart cards work in standalone mode without card management system involvement and come pre-loaded with a default configuration that has been tested across a range of logical access applications. These include Microsoft products as well as HID’s 4TRESSTM AAA authentication server, naviGO card lifecycle management software, and ActivClient security client software.
