Fight Breaks Out at College Bowl Game

Officials from the University of Memphis and BYU say they intend to take “appropriate disciplinary action” against players who participated in the post-game brawl.

Two college football teams playing in the Miami Beach Bowl Dec. 22 came to blows at the end of the game.

After the final play of the game, in which the University of Memphis defeated Brigham Young University 55 to 48, people from the sidelines spilled onto the field. Players were punching and grabbing each other, ABC News reports.

University officials said they intend to review footage of the brawl and take “appropriate disciplinary measures.”
