Feds Launch Title IX Investigation of Cedarville U.
Last week, Cedarville University officials announced that the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is investigating the school for possible Title IX violations.
The investigation was launched in response to a complaint from an unidentified alumnus who alleges she is the survivor of an attempted rape while she was a student at the Christian university, reports the Ventriloquist. The complaint alleges that Cedarville University lacks a Title IX coordinator and “prompt and equitable” grievance procedures for resolving Title IX complaints on campus.
