Employee Shot in Domestic Violence Incident at Faulkner U.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A contract employee for Faulkner University’s maintenance department was shot multiple times on campus Aug. 27 in an apparent domestic violence incident.

Reginald Dynell Brown, 37, allegedly shot the unnamed victim in a parking lot on campus near the maintenance building, AL.com reports. He was apprehended shortly after the shooting and has been charged with attempted murder, certain person forbidden to carry a pistol and third-degree domestic violence.

Faulkner University officials notified students of the incident via text message. Students and staff on campus were told to get into the nearest room and lock the door, while those off site were told not to enter the campus. Some of the messages did not reach every student on campus. Officials are currently working to fix the error.
