EASTON, Pa. – The Easton Area School Board has approved spending $1.37 million to upgrade security at seven schools in the district.
The schools that will receive the upgrades include Easton Area High School and Palmer, Tracy, Paxinosa, Cheston, Forks and March elementary schools.
As part of the upgrades, each school will renovate their entrances by adding secure vestibules that force people in reception areas. Additionally, the district will install keyless access control and more cameras to all schools, LehighValleyLive.com reports.
The district plans to have the project completed by August 2014.
