FULLERTON, Calif. — Judi King is retiring from the Cal State Fullerton University Police where she has served as police chief for 12 years.
During the time King has worked on campus, she increased the police force from 14 to 24 officers and instituted a two-officer minimum for all patrols, the Daily Titan reports. She also set new standards for police policy and administration.
King also instituted active shooter training and worked to implement policies and procedures that have earned the department a position as a flagship agency for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA).
