Colo. High School Security Officer Arrested for Sexual Assault

The alleged victim has filed a report and is speaking with investigators.

A security officer in Colorado was arrested Monday as police investigate claims that he sexually assaulted a student at the high school where he works.

Gary Postell was taken into custody by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of sexual assault on a child after the alleged victim filed a police report, reports kdvr.com.

Postell, 49, works at Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado.

The Douglas County School District did not comment on the case but a letter sent to Ponderosa parents said Postell will not be allowed on campus “pending the results of the investigation.”

Police have already interviewed the victim and continue to investigate her claims.

Postell was booked at Douglas County Jail and posted a $5,000 bond.
