Sworn Officer Pay
Sworn police officers who protect institutions of higher education make more now than they did four years ago. In 2011, less than half (49%) made more than $35,000 per year, while today, nearly two-thirds (63%) make more than that amount. In fact, 9% make more than $50,000 per year. The median annual salary for sworn officers just starting their jobs is $37,500, and the average salary is $38,550.
