Campus Safety Magazine has so much valuable content each week that we’ve decided to start giving brief video overviews of some of the stories that have the biggest impact on the security industry.
In this week’s edition, we talk about the various security upgrades that we always cover. The stories often give security officials an idea of how their peers are prioritizing different security systems and in what ways they’re reallocating their limited resources.
The first story we mention is an editor’s desk column from 2015’s November/December issue by CS Executive Editor Robin Hattersley Gray titled “Are Your Security Measures Just For Show?” The article, which was posted online here, covers the importance of having practical security solutions in place rather than security measures that look good but don’t actually protect your campus.
The round up also references a story on a Virginia town’s security upgrades. That story focuses on the ways the town’s new surveillance cameras have saved the town money.
So check out those stories and more from Campus Safety, and stay tuned for next week’s video news round up!
