School Security Officer in N.Y. Beaten by Teen

A Pratt Institute security officer was attacked by a teen in a main campus building late on July 10.

A college security officer suffered minor injuries after being hit repeatedly by a teen in Brooklyn on July 10.

The 66-year-old guard was inside the main building of Pratt Institute, a school of higher learning in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, when he confronted the suspect, who police are still searching for.

When the officer asked what the teen was doing in the lobby, the teen punched the guard in the face. The guard fell to the ground and hit his head and the suspect continued to hit the guard’s face and body, according to dnainfo.com.

Police say the suspect is around five-foot-ten, 170 pounds and was last seen on surveillance footage wearing a baseball cap and glasses.

The guard had bruising and a cut on his face.
