California IAHSS Symposium Starts This Thursday

IRVINE and PALO ALTO, Calif.—The California Region 12 Chapter of IAHSS announces it will be presenting its Second Annual Symposium titled  “Professional Liability: Do You Know…What You Don’t Know?”

The one-day event will be held twice: once in Southern California on July 22 at the UC Irvine Medical Center and once in Northern California on July 23 at the Stanford Medical Center.

This year’s IAHSS symposium will describe a framework that can limit a healthcare facility’s and protection professional’s exposure to litigation. Speakers will include representatives from the IAHSS Board of Directors, Scripps Health and the UCLA Medical Center. Topics will include:

  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Assaultive Behavior
  • Risks & Mitigation
  • Investigations
  • AB1083 – Effective July 2010
