Calif. Teacher Allegedly Assaults Student on Campus

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A teacher at O.B. Whaley School was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child on campus late last year. The abuse, according to police, occurred from August to October.

Craig Richard Chandler is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 13, the Mercury News reports. School officials disclosed Jan. 11 that some of the assaults occurred on school grounds, but did not specify if they took place during school hours or in classrooms.

The school brought psychologists to campus to counsel students.
