Beaten School Bus Driver Dies

NEW YORK — A school bus driver who was beaten into a coma by another motorist on June 11 has been taken off life support.

Juan DelValle’s family took him off life support on Friday, MSNBC.com reports. He was knocked to the pavement by the driver of a double-parked car that he damaged with his bus. When he got out of the bus to survey the damage —the mirror was clipped — the driver began punching him so hard his head slammed on the road.

DelValle had been driving a school bus for 10 years and was preparing to retire at the end of this school year.
