A student who was stabbed inside a Baltimore school by a classmate last month died in a hospital Dec. 20.
Ananias Jolley, 17, died in the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after police say he was stabbed by 17-year-old Donte Crawford on Nov. 24, according to the Baltimore Sun.
The stabbing occurred in front of a classroom full of students inside Renaissance Academy during a dispute. Police arrested Crawford later that day after finding him with what they believe was blood all over his clothes.

Crawford was initially charged with attempted murder but those charges are expected to be upgraded. An officer with the Baltimore City School Police Force said the two students had “previous known physical and verbal altercations.”
Renaissance, which serves mostly male, at-risk youth, has metal detectors at its font entrances. Police are trying to determine how Crawford was able to get a knife into the school.
