LOVELAND, Colo. — A recent internal Safe Schools Audit of the Thompson School District found that the district had sufficient action plans in place but lacked a uniform method of documenting discipline issues.
The audit showed that schools were documenting incidents such as bullying, but were keeping the documents in different places, Loveland Connection reports. This was an area of concern for district administration.
The results of the audit also indicated that more staff should be informed about the discipline data from the annual surveys. Wes Fothergill, director of communications, said the documentation process at the district’s schools will most likely change because of the findings.
