Attackers Brutally Beat Middle School Security Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif.

An unarmed 60-year-old security officer was brutally beaten Saturday night as he was investigating there being possible trespassers at Herman Middle School.

The officer has not been identified because his attackers have not bee apprehended. Police are searching for three or four individuals.

The officer’s employer, Security Code 3, contacted police when they couldn’t contact the victim, according to KTVU.com. The news source is also reporting that neighbors often see individuals loitering on the campus at night and that the campus has poor lighting.

A $5,000 reward is being offered by the security company for information leading to the arrests of the attackers. The officer is in critical condition.
