Arizona Voters Narrowly Approve Medical Marijuana
A measure legalizing marijuana for medicinal use has passed in Arizona with 50.13 percent (or 4,341 votes) of the ballots, the secretary of state has announced.
Proposition 203 was declared a success almost a week after the election, following the counting of 11,000 outstanding ballots on Saturday, reports the Arizona Republic.
Arizona becomes the 15th state to legalize medical marijuana. Similar measures failed in Oregon and South Dakota.
