PRESCOTT, Ariz. — With decreases in state funding, Prescott Unified School District (PUSD) officials unanimously voted to proceed with a $28 million bond effort, which would fund school safety improvements.
Residents will vote in November to approve the bond, which would also help the district implement technology, energy management and building improvements. The district has expects to spend $5,594,026 for safety upgrades, which includes revamping the district’s fire systems, intercoms and video surveillance. Additionally, PUSD plans to replace entrances for outdoor security, The Daily Courier reports.
