Ala. Teen Arrested for Campus Shooting

The only victim in the shooting is expected to make a full recovery.

A teenage boy turned himself in to local police after authorities say he was responsible for a shooting outside an Alabama high school Oct. 11.

Marquis Love, 16, has been charged with second degree assault after he shot another teen in the abdomen at Vigor High School around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, reports al.com.

Prichard Police Department Spokesman Philip Steil says the victim, who’s name and age have not been released, was rushed to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police say Love knew the victim and it appears to have been an isolated incident. The shooting occurred after classes had already ended for the day.

Love, who is being held at Metro County Jail, has thus far refused to speak to police about the incident.
