Every campus community works to keep its operations running as safely as possible.
Each member of that community has responsibilities that relate to ensuring a safe and secure campus. Occasionally, however, a member of that community goes above and beyond their duties. It’s for this reason that Campus Safety has begun honoring the heroes that have worked to make campuses safer around the country.

From hospital security officers to nurses to doctors, Campus Safety has seen people from every background distinguish themselves to meet the true definition of a hero.
Sometimes these heroes do something dramatic, like saving a life or averting a disaster. Other times their actions are more subtle, like improving emergency plans or reporting suspicious behavior.
Today Campus Safety is honoring the people we’ve covered in the hospital community that have acted heroically. These people’s stories are just as remarkable as the K-12 heroes we covered last week.
