4 U. of Alabama Football Players Arrested
Four freshmen members of the University of Alabama football team have been linked to two campus robberies.
The players are Dennis “D.J.” Pettway, Tyler Hayes, Brent Calloway and Eddie Williams, reports CNN. The alleged incidents occurred just after midnight on Monday, and both of the victims were knocked unconscious during the robberies. All four suspects were arrested and charged.
In January, the University of Alabama football team won the national championship. Upon receiving news of the arrests, the football program immediately suspended all four teammates.
