3rd Grader Brings Loaded Gun on Campus

LONG ISLAND, N.Y.

An 8-year-old Long Island, N.Y., boy has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon after bringing a loaded handgun to his school.

The weapon was discovered by the boy’s teacher after she overheard him talking about it, reports MyFoxNY.com. The loaded gun was in the juvenile’s desk.

According to the report, there were no threats to students and the boy has been released to his family. His motive is unknown and possible punishment has not been determined.
