CEDAR CITY, Utah – Three Southern Utah University (SUU) basketball players were arrested Friday for allegedly stealing two refrigerators from the campus bookstore loading dock.
Hercy Miller, 24, Brock Felder, 20, and Peter Dadson, 25, are accused of third-degree felony theft, valued from $1,500 to $4,999, reports Iron County Today. The refrigerators are reportedly worth $1,500 each.

The incident happened on November 11. Authorities say the students took the refrigerators from the SUU bookstore loading dock, loaded them into their vehicles, and drove away, reports KUTV.
The men were caught on video by campus security cameras, and police used SUU parking and student directories to identify the suspects.
When officers visited the apartment shared by two of the suspects, they could see one of the refrigerators through the front door, reports ABC4. The other refrigerator was found in the garage.
Players Thought SUU Bookstore was Going to Thrown Away Refrigerators
One of the players told the officers they had seen the refrigerators sitting on the bookstore loading dock for “almost a month and assumed that they were being disposed of.” Another suspect said he thought the refrigerators were going to be thrown out and it was OK to take them.
All three men were released from custody on Saturday. SUU officials have not commented on the incident or the status of the players, who are members of the university’s Division 1 basketball team.
