Study Finds School Shootings Less Likely in States Requiring Background Checks for Gun Purchases
Researchers from Boston University, Columbia University and the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine found that the 17 states in the country with mandatory background checks for at least some gun purchases were 45 percent less likely to experience a school shooting.
