15 People Stabbed at Houston-Area Campus

A community college student stabbed 15 people Tuesday morning at a Lone Star College’s Cy-Fair campus before Harris County Sheriff’s deputies took him into custody.

The suspect has been identified as a 20-year-old Dylan Andrew Quick, a male student at the vocational school. The stabbings occurred at about 11:20 a.m. Students wrestled the suspect to the ground.

Authorities believe the stabbings were random. The attacker used some type of knife or pencil, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Quick told police he’d been having fantasies of stabbing people to death since he was a child, reports Chron.com. Psychiatric tests have been ordered for the suspect.

The campus re-opened Wednesday.

This is the second incident this year at the college. On Jan. 22, three people were wounded in a shooting at Lone Star’s North Harris campus. Lone Star has six campuses and specializes in vocational education.
