14 Boys, 2 Girls Suspected of Assault at School

TORONTO, Police have arrested 16 students for the harassment and sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl at her high school.

The victim attends James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic Secondary School. She reported to police that she was assaulted and harassed for more than a year.

In response to the allegations, a 15-year-old boy was charged with sexual assault, criminal harassment and forcible confinement. Another boy, 17, faces similar charges.

An additional 12 males and two females were arrested on Nov. 14 while at school. The boys are suspected of criminal harassment and the girls have been charged with threatening bodily harm.

The alleged incidents occurred both on and off campus.
