Congratulations to Fremont Health Emergency Manager Rich Oliva for being one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- Headed the installation of an integrated system that includes nearly 200 access points, more than 200 cameras, patient abduction prevention, nurse call, intercoms and other security systems
- Developed good working relationships with local law enforcement in three counties
- Led initiative to train staff in decontamination, which resulted in improved response by all emergency department nurses and technicians
The winners and runners up will be honored at the Campus Safety Conference in Philadelphia this summer.
