Congratulations to Fremont Health Emergency Manager Rich Oliva for being one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

  • Headed the installation of an integrated system that includes nearly 200 access points, more than 200 cameras, patient abduction prevention, nurse call, intercoms and other security systems
  • Developed good working relationships with local law enforcement in three counties
  • Led initiative to train staff in decontamination, which resulted in improved response by all emergency department nurses and technicians
