College Security Guard Attacks Graduate Student in Ohio

The student was treated at a hospital and released.

A college security guard assaulted a graduate student on the school’s campus September 2.

The unarmed Case Western Reserve University security guard’s motive for the attack was unclear as Cleveland police are investigating, according to Cleveland.com.

The university released a statement September 3 explaining that the student was treated at University Hospitals and released. The security guard has been put on leave.

The guard, who was also verbally abusive to students before the attack, was also taken to University Hospitals after becoming increasingly upset.

The school has apologized and is offering counseling to any affected students.
