Talk-A-Phone Emergency Phones Link to Exacq Technology’s Surveillance Systems

Talk-A-Phone of Niles, Ill., has integrated its VOIP-500 Series emergency phone with Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision video management system (VMS).

In the event of a distress call, the VOIP-500 Series emergency phone sends an event via standard ASCII output over the network to the exacqVision system. Based on the event, the exacqVision VMS can link to a nearby camera or lock a pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) camera to a preset in order to view real-time video of the event. An event list also logs the event and allows it to be viewed later, including related archived video.
