Don’t Miss a Beat: Your Ultimate Guide to ISC West 2019

What to See on the Show Floor

The ISC West exhibition will officially commence at the exhibit hall entrance at 9:45 a.m. (April 10) with a ribbon-cutting presentation and confetti blast. Attendees will begin entering the exhibit hall at 10 a.m. Set among the vast collection of vendors booths will be themed, co-located exhibit spaces. Here’s a rundown:

The Emerging Technology Zone will feature the next generation of innovative products and solutions that are expected to help propel the security industry. Featured will be 40 startup businesses hailing from across the cyber-physical security landscape.

The Unmanned Security Expo returns for a third year with a focus on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground robotics & vehicles (UGVs), plus various software and applications that support these burgeoning technologies. The exhibition space will include a fully functional flight cage and a robotics demonstration area.

The expo addresses the opportunities to improve security & safety functionality with the use of UAVs and UGVs, the threats that counter-drone technologies can address to ensure public and defense safety, and policy and regulation progress and key trends. Also on tap, a dedicated theater will offer a variety of complementary education sessions focused on drones, robotics and autonomous solutions for commercial and government security and safety use, as well as drone detection/counter-system applications.

With so much disruption going on in the residential marketplace — given the continued onslaught of new tech entrants and smart home and DIY mass marketers — it makes sense to focus a slice of the show floor on this category.

Hence the return of the Connected Home exhibition area. Here you can visit vendors and service providers that specialize in home controls and see firsthand how security, lighting, thermostats, appliances, entertainment and other systems connect.

The Connected Security Expo returns for the fourth consecutive year and will be co-located within the ISC West exhibit hall. The expo is billed as the only event that focuses on building a holistic security strategy for the connected enterprise, including looking at how physical and IT security can be used together to mitigate new and emerging cyber threats in a hyper-connected world.

The goal here is to help physical and IT security professionals gain exposure to cutting-edge products and technology in both of these disciplines. Also, be sure to check out related educational sessions as part of the SIA Education@ISC curriculum.
