Exclusive Study: Campuses Continue to Embrace Access Control

Like three years ago, open campus layouts continue to pose challenges for schools, colleges and hospitals, although not as much now for institutions of higher education. Although 59% of this year’s higher ed survey participants say this issue is still very or extremely challenging, that’s down 13 percentage points compared to 2014.
Concerns about metal detection equipment have nearly doubled in the past three years for K-12 schools and districts, with 30% now saying that “Lack of metal detection or the equipment we have needs to be upgraded” is an issue that is very or extremely challenging for them. That’s up 13 percentage points over 2014.
