Congratulations to HealthFirst Family Care Center Chief of Campus Police and Security Stephen Medeiros for being one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- Created the campus police and security department
- Took over management of access control and video surveillance from IT
- Increased foot patrol and static assignments that significantly reduced reports of suspicious persons and activity on campus; between October 2016 and September 2017 there were no reports of incidents of violent crime and only two property crimes
