Key Tracer’s systems use RFID technology to track keys and assets, and each system is customizable to meet unique requirements.

AMAG Technology, a security management system manufacturer, announces that Key Tracer is the newest certified partner within the Symmetry Preferred Partner Program. As part of the partnership, Key Tracer’s Key Management System integrates with AMAG’s Symmetry Access Control software solution.

Key Tracer’s electronic key management system and asset lockers provide full access control over keys, buildings, vehicles, firearms and other assets. Key Tracer’s systems use RFID technology to track keys and assets, and each system is customizable to meet unique requirements.

The system ensures that users can only access keys or assets that are assigned to them, locking all other items in place all while keeping a log of all removals and returns. Users must identify themselves at the access terminal via PIN, access card, or biometric readers to open the cabinet or locker and unlock the item(s) that is assigned to that user.

Software integration between card reader based access control systems and their physical key based equivalents makes a lot of sense for many large organizations.
