KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenosha Unified School District has selected ZeroEyes, an AI weapons detection platform, to improve security on its campuses.
KUSD is the third-largest school district in the state of Wisconsin with over 21,000 students and 4,200 staff at 23 elementary schools, five middle schools, five high schools and five charter schools.
ZeroEyes’ solution has been integrated with the district’s IP security cameras to help detect visible weapons and serve as a proactive measure to prevent violent threats on campus. When it positively detects a weapon, the platform sends a notification to school administrators, school resource officers and local 911 dispatch within three to five seconds, according to the company.
The notification ensures schools can enact security protocols while giving first responders real-time information to help prevent active shootings and save lives.

ZeroEyes was founded by a group of former Navy SEALs and military veterans. It trains and collaborates with customers and local first responders to conduct extensive pilots before its solution is fully implemented.
