IDIS, a video technology manufacturer, introduces its new Intelligent Video Wall Station for connected device management.

The Intelligent Video Wall Station is designed as a plug-in for the cost and license-free IDIS Center VMS, enabling small and mid-sized customers to centralize monitoring for single or multiple sites without the traditional price tag, according to the company.

The station integrates with IDIS’s full line-up of network and analog cameras and devices, as well as third-party technologies. It uses a single server and network wall controller to manage up to 12 UHD monitors. The station can connect up to 4,096 cameras and lets operators monitor 64 panes simultaneously, including dewarped 360-degree fisheye video.

Users are now able to customize their monitors to display the most critical video streams and event data to provide a real-time visual overview. The station combines remote configuration with batch firmware updates, role-based access management, audit trails, and device health monitoring, resulting in increased efficiency, minimal maintenance, and low total cost of ownership (TOC), says the company.

“It’s more important than ever for organizations to enhance situational awareness while increasing efficiency,” says IDIS America President Andrew Myung. “The addition of the IDIS Intelligent Video Wall Station delivers the benefits of advanced and dynamic video wall monitoring without the need to design and build dedicated control rooms or incur the costs of traditional VMS recurring maintenance agreements or ongoing device connection fees.”

The new solution fully supports H.264 and H.265 dual codec, allowing users to retain their existing and third-party screens. It also integrates with the enterprise-level IDIS Solution Suite VMS, enabling users to expand or adapt the system as operational requirements change.
