Rishon Enterprises, a distributor of safety products, introduces Addalock, a portable door lock that installs in seconds in almost every in-swinging door, giving those behind the door additional safety and security each time it is used.
The Addalock is an affordable and easy-to-use product that can be added to school lockdown procedures, giving students and teachers extra safety and security when needed. The lock requires no tools for installation and can be used as soon as you receive it, according to the company.
Addalock is made up of a steel body and red handle. The steel body has two claws in the back that can be inserted into the strike of the door and a butterfly hole in the middle that will grip the handle to stop a door from opening.
The handle is triangular in shape and contains a moving steel rod which catches the handle and locks it in place.
The lock is made from chrome-plated carbon steel and is adjustable to almost any door thickness due to its unique shape.
Jason Periard, director of community security for the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, partnered with Rishon Enterprises and Addalock back in 2016.
“The addition of Add-A-Lock devices to our school’s lock-down procedures have benefited over 50 Jewish institutions throughout greater Los Angeles, representing 22,000 students and 1200 educators,” says Periard.
