Milestone Systems, a provider of open-platform video management software (VMS), says its new remote patient monitoring tool will help hospitals and healthcare facilities deliver high-quality patient care as the industry grapples with growing staff shortages.
XProtect® Hospital Assist is said to offer an innovative level of remote patient monitoring that aims to help healthcare professionals do more with less, improve overall patient safety, care, and experience, and enhance the situational awareness of staff.

By reducing the need for frequent room visits, the two-way audio communication functionality within the video system optimizes staff resources and enhances overall patient care, according to Milestone.
