Woman Struck by Truck Dies on Va. Tech Campus

A 61-year-old woman has died after being struck by a dump truck that was driving through Virginia Tech campus streets on July 2. The woman, who was attending a religious conference held on campus, was bicycling when the truck hit her.

The incident followed an earlier accident where a man was critically injured while skateboarding on campus, according to The Roanoke Times.

Virginia Tech police and state police are investigating the accident.

In 2008, one student was killed and several others were injured when a car struck five pedestrians on campus.
