Woman Stabbed In School Parking Lot

CONWAY, S.C. – A woman in the parking lot of Carolina Forest Middle School and High School was stabbed and killed May 18.

The attack occurred in the morning as students were coming to school. According to the , Edwin Lee Cornelius, 24, was arrested shortly after the stabbing.

The victim was an 18-year-old woman, but her identity has not been released. Police did not indicate if she was a student.

After the attack, both of the schools were locked down.
