Bomb Threat Basics

Here are some best practices on handling bomb threats provided by the Indiana Department of Education and written by Safe Havens International.

In light of the disruption caused by the recent spate of bomb threats on U.S. campuses this past week, CS’ good friends at Safe Havens International have provided the link to a white paper they wrote in 2006 for the Indiana Department of Education’s School Safety Specialist’s Academy. The document covers protocols, plans and training so campuses can better respond to bomb threats.

Although the white paper focuses on K-12 incidents, much of the information in it also pertains to college campuses.
