Washington State to Sell Hard Alcohol on Campus

Published: August 4, 2008

PULLMAN, Wash. – Officials at Washington State University (WSU) will now allow hard liquor sales on campus, including the student union, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

In March, campus officials changed the alcohol and drug policy on hard liquor sales for new restaurants on campus and Hollingberry Fieldhouse, which is near Martin Stadium. Previously, only wine and beer were sold at the Hollingberry Fieldhouse.

Currently at the University of Washington, its UW Club, which serves mostly faculty and staff, sells hard liquor.

At certain WSU restaurants, ages will be electronically verified to guarantee underage students are not sold alcoholic beverages.
