TACOMA, Wash. — A string of sex offenses within the district has prompted Tacoma Public Schools to enhance its employee training on sexual abuse.
The district already had a boundary-invasion training in place, which explained what it means to cross the line with students, including sending social text messages to exchanging gifts. However, after a former Stadium High School security guard received four years in prison last month for having sex with three students, TPS will now train employees on how to spot sexual predators, The News Tribune reports.
