Visitor Attempts Suicide at Texas Hospital

SUGAR LAND, Texas

A 46-year-old man shot himself in the head at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital May 7, according to ABC 13.

According to the news outlet, James Adair was reportedly bringing food to his family while they were waiting for his wife to be discharged from the facility. A few minutes later, hospital personnel heard a gunshot and rushed to the waiting room. When they arrived, they discovered Adair lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.

Adair was treated for his injuries at Ben Taub Hospital, where he remains on life support.

Police are still investigating the incident.
