Published: June 24, 2006

IRVING, Texas- Integrated Security Systems Inc. (ISSI) announced that it’s wholly owned subsidiary, Intelli-Site Inc.‘s Intelli-Site(R) product has been installed at the Arlington Hospital Center NCIU facility in Arlington, Va.

The new NCIU security system, part of a $1.2 million facility upgrade, is a complex integration of CCTV, access control, radio frequency bands and custom designed graphical user interfaces. Intelli-Site software provides key integration and control for the security system.

The new communications system installed in the unit allows hospital personnel to quickly and easily detect and respond to an emergency within any of the women and infant health areas. Computerized floor plans at the nurses’ station automatically display which room needs assistance so that nurses, physicians or security personnel can be rapidly dispatched.

“This is the monitoring technology of the future, and Virginia Hospital Center is probably more advanced in adopting it than any other hospital in the country. Parents will feel reassured that their infants’ safety and security, as well as their medical care, is being constantly monitored in the new NICU,” says Jim Hugler, CEO of Secure Technical Engineering, which is implementing the system at the hospital.
