Virginia Campus Police to Receive More Training

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia state senators approved measure HB1036, which will increase the amount of training campus police officers receive.

As a result of the bill, which has support from both legislatures, the state will also set minimum employment requirements for campus police. Additionally, campus safety departments will be required to improve record keeping and share information with other law enforcement agencies.
