Villanova U. Considers Adding Sworn Officers
RADNOR, Pa. — Villanova University officials are contemplating adding an on-campus, full-service police department.
If the university upgrades its current public safety department, it would join the 74% of U.S. colleges and universities that have sworn police officers on campus, UPI.com reports.
Both students and local law enforcement officers have voiced concerns with adding armed officers on campus.
