Videx’s CyberLock is an electronic locking cylinder for managing access to medical drug cabinets. The lock is designed for hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical clinics, and emergency service providers, and can be installed by replacing the mechanical cylinder in an existing cabinet lock with no wiring required.
With CyberLock, medical facilities gain key control and the ability to restrict and audit traffic to pharmaceutical cabinets throughout their departments. An administrator can track access to sensitive areas because the electronic lock and key track activity of the lock and key. There’s no keyway to pick and the electronic key can’t be duplicated, according to the company.
Each authorized user’s key can be programmed to access selected locks on specific days and during certain times. A “lost” key can be quickly blocked from the system, and keys can be set with a start and end date. A Bluetooth-enabled key is available.
