Video Proves Officers Did Not Slam Student Into Lockers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The mother of a Riverside Middle School student has accused two school security officers of slamming her daughter against a locker; however, school officials say they have footage from a security camera to dispute the claim.

The alleged incident occurred last week after the female student, whose name was not released, voluntarily offered her cell phone video footage of a fight that took place at a nearby elementary school. As the discussion intensified, the student backed into a set of lockers, according to school officials, while the girl’s mother claims two female security officers forced her child into the lockers. District officials are currently investigating the incident.
