CHICAGO — A Chicago Public Schools (CPS) security officer was found not guilty Tuesday of pushing a female student down the stairs at Dunbar Vocational Career Academy.
A cell phone video captured the May 21 incident. It allegedly shows an employee being aggressive with 16-year-old Lauren Goodlaw.
Goodlaw is currently undergoing physical therapy after suffering injuries to her head, neck, shoulder, lower back, wrist and knee, NBC Chicago reports. The Goodlaw family is currently in discussions regarding civil damages with the city of Chicago, CPS and the security officer, whose name has not been released.
