MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. — The Montgomery County School Board has approved spending $338,000 to upgrade school security.
As part of the upgrade, the board will install intercom buzz-in system and video monitors at the main entrances of all 19 county schools. Additionally, the upgrades include keyless badge entry for school personnel, News Messenger reports.
Officials expect the project’s completion by the end of next summer.
